eThink Education, eLearning Solution Provider, Partners with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) to Support Global Training Program
Baltimore, MD — eThink Education, a world-class provider of the open source Learning Management Systems (LMS) Moodle and Totara, has partnered with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) to provide them with a flexible, robust, and scalable Moodle platform to educate their global member base and scale their certification programs.
Formed in 1990, IACIS is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to training, certifying, and providing membership services to computer forensic professionals around the world. IACIS’ membership base consists of federal, state, and municipal law enforcement professionals, along with professional computer forensic practitioners located in more than 60 countries.
Before partnering with eThink Education, IACIS was using another eLearning platform to deliver and manage the online portion of their training programs. However, as a 100% volunteer organization, IACIS recognized that they needed a higher level of support that included immediate response and ticket resolution, which led them to evaluate vendors who provided high-touch support.
After a couple of discovery sessions during which eThink evaluated IACIS’s learning platform goals, wants, and needs, eThink determined that the open-source Moodle LMS was a great fit that would position IACIS for long term eLearning success. IACIS uses Moodle optimized by eThink to deliver their internationally-recognized basic and specialized computer forensic certifications. Down the road, IACIS also looks to have their mentors provide coaching directly within Moodle.
“IACIS looks forward to working with eThink Education to streamline our digital forensics certifications in an easy-to-access online environment for our members,” said Adam DeLadurantey, Director of Certification at IACIS. “The custom support eThink provides will enable us to continue to provide the best certification in the industry, as well as support our training initiatives as we continue to scale our programs domestically and internationally.”
“Here at eThink, we are committed to serving the Association market. We’re excited to be working with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists to help support their training programs, which provide high-quality training, certification, and recertification courses to computer forensic professionals and law enforcement personnel across the globe,” said Brian Carlson, CEO & Co-Founder of eThink Education.
eThink Education has seen recent momentum in the association space, with many associations and consortiums looking for a more efficient and cost-effective way to connect members, share resources, and streamline training offerings through an online environment.
