What is Canned Content?

A lot of the text out there in internet resources today is clipped from other resources, and that's what is meant by canned content in most cases. Canned content is viewed by many users and professionals as less desirable than custom content for many reasons, but there are also many basic points that can be covered with it, without reinventing the wheel.
